Cloud sovereignty

Your data. Our metal. Swedish soil.

Celestio isn’t a reseller with a nice logo on someone else’s cloud. We own and operate every server your site runs on, in our Swedish datacenter in Falkenberg. No US cloud provider anywhere in the hosting path.

Ownership 100% Servers owned and operated by Celestio Cloud AB, with no hyperscaler underneath
Jurisdiction SE / EU Swedish company, Swedish law, EU data protection
Datacenter Falkenberg Our servers on Swedish soil, operated by Celestio
Power Fossil-free Swedish grid energy, free cooling most of the year

Why it matters

GDPR by geography, not by paperwork.

Most “EU hosting” runs on US-owned clouds, which means Schrems II, transfer impact assessments, and legal opinions that change every few years. When the hardware, the company and the jurisdiction are all Swedish, the question simply doesn’t arise.

Who this is for

If any of these sound familiar, you need sovereign hosting.

Public sector & municipal

Procurement increasingly requires EU-only processing without US-owned subprocessors in the hosting path. We meet that by construction, not by legal argument.

Upphandling-ready

Healthcare, legal, finance

When your site handles patient bookings, client intake or financial data, “probably compliant” isn’t a risk posture. Swedish soil ends the debate.

Sensitive-data workloads

Agencies with cautious clients

One line in your proposal, “hosted on Swedish-owned infrastructure in Falkenberg, Sweden”, closes the data-protection objection before it opens.

A sales advantage

The facility

One datacenter. One promise. Swedish soil.

Our Falkenberg datacenter puts your production and your data on Swedish soil, on Celestio-owned servers, operated by Celestio. It runs on fossil-free grid power, cooled by Swedish weather most of the year.

The people who run it are Celestio engineers, the same ones who answer your support tickets.

For your DPO

The questions your lawyer will ask.

Who legally owns the infrastructure?

Celestio Cloud AB, a Swedish limited company (org.nr 556858-3131). We own the servers, lease datacenter space from a Swedish facility operator, and run our own network. No hyperscaler sits underneath any layer.

Are there any non-EU subprocessors?

Not in the hosting path. Our subprocessor list is short: payment processing (Stripe) and email delivery are the external services. The list is available on request while the public legal pages are being finalised.

What about Schrems II and the CLOUD Act?

Schrems II concerns transfers to third countries. The hosting path makes none. The US CLOUD Act reaches US-controlled companies. Celestio Cloud AB isn’t one. That’s the point of sovereignty by construction.

Can you sign our DPA and answer a security questionnaire?

Yes. Contact us and an engineer will handle the questionnaire and the DPA process with you.
