This Operations Policy describes how we keep the services available, secure and reliable. Celestio Cloud runs on top of the Kepler Cloud infrastructure as a product of Kepler Technologies AB.
This is a translation for convenience. The Swedish version is the legally binding one.
All of our services are operated by a Swedish provider that is certified to ISO 9001 (quality management), ISO 14001 (environmental management) and ISO 27001 (information security). This means that we work with a provider that maintains the highest standard of security and operational reliability, which reflects our own internal processes and principles.
Our operations policies
To ensure that our services are available and reliable in all situations, we have implemented the following operations policies:
- Redundancy and failover. We use geographically distributed data centres within Sweden to ensure redundancy and failover capacity. This guarantees that our services can continue to operate even in the event of an outage at one location.
- Updates. Our systems are updated regularly to ensure that they are protected against new threats and vulnerabilities.
- Backups. We perform regular backups of all important data to ensure recovery in the event of data corruption or loss.
- Patch management. We follow strict processes for handling security updates and patching of both software and hardware, which minimises the risk of vulnerabilities.
Disaster recovery
Celestio Cloud (Kepler Technologies AB) has implemented a comprehensive disaster recovery plan to ensure rapid restoration of services in emergencies. We have geographically distributed data centres in Sweden that guarantee redundancy and ensure that our systems can be restored within set timeframes. Our Recovery Time Objective (RTO) is to restore services within 4 hours in the event of serious incidents, while our Recovery Point Objective (RPO) is to minimise data loss to a maximum of 15 minutes. To ensure data integrity and continuity during disaster scenarios, we carry out regular tests and updates of our recovery processes.
Service level and uptime
In our Service Level Agreements (SLA) we guarantee an uptime of at least 99.95% for all critical services. We have established routines to quickly remedy any outages, and our customers are kept informed of the status through our operational information channels and our status page. In the event of any deviation from the guaranteed uptime, compensation measures apply under our SLA terms. This ensures that our customers receive a reliable and secure operating environment, with clear expectations of our service delivery.
Sustainability and green hosting
Celestio Cloud runs on the Kepler Cloud infrastructure, whose data centres are operated by our hosting provider GleSYS AB. GleSYS AB holds a Green Hosting Diploma stating that the hosting services delivered to Kepler Technologies AB are powered by 100% renewable energy. According to the diploma, GleSYS minimises environmental impact by powering its data centres with energy labelled Good Environmental Choice (Bra Miljöval), distributing excess heat to district heating grids, running backup generators on EcoPar instead of traditional fossil fuels, reusing electronics where possible and recycling end-of-life products, and choosing eco-friendly transportation where possible. GleSYS AB’s environmental management system is certified in accordance with ISO 14001:2015.
This certificate is held by the infrastructure provider (GleSYS AB) and certifies its hosting services. Celestio Cloud does not itself hold this certificate; we state it here to describe the environmental profile of the infrastructure our service runs on.
